Churchover Gardening Club

The Churchover Gardening Club have benefited from the support of LEADER funded service project 'Get Growing'

Funding has enabled them to visit the Malvern Show and also supplied resources and prizes for them to hold a community potato growing competition.

  • Leamington Hastings Primary School has benefited from the support of LEADER funded service project 'Get Growing' to purchase gardening equipment, a polytunnel and raised beds for a lunch-time gardening club.  

  • Get Growing! is a fantastic LEADER funded service project which aims to brings together people in the rural parishes of Warwick District and Rugby Borough by providing support and resources for community food growing initiatives in their location. Building a sense of community by supporting people to grow their own fruit and vegetables.

    Get Growing! can help your community to grow, by providing gardening support and advice, training courses, growing equipment, publicity materials and resources you need, up to the value of approximately £3000.

  • Marton Pig Club, a community club, which collectively cares for and breed pigs for meat have secured LEADER funding to purchase hog roast and sausage making equipment to support the social element of their club.

    The club have also established an outreach programme to educate other villages on setting up Pig Clubs and aims to introduce many others to the benefits of communal pig keeping and producing your own food.

     

     

     

  • The small village hall of Churchover has recieved LEADER funding to purchase portable staging, curtains and lighting to increase their ability to use the venue for live performances.

  • The village of Lapworth have created a village film club via support and funding through LEADER funded service project 'Arts On Our Doorstep'
