Community Orchards - Rugby Schools Orchards

Small orchards (5-20 trees) established in 9 schools across the Rugby schools rural cluster. Planting days held with pupils and parents. Pruning carried out. Equipment bought and benches awaiting plaques before distribution. Training offered and will be delivered. Plan for linking

Rugby Waterways Festival and Rural Youth scheme

The ‘Waterways Festival’ involved local waterway based businesses, primarily boat yards and hire boat operators, ‘opening their doors’ to the public as part of the ‘National Heritage Open Days (9 -12 September 2010). Visitors had the opportunity to ‘look behind the scenes’ of a working boatyard as well as board a trip boat and cruise the canal.

Monks Kirby Arts Fest

With support from the Central Warwickshire Villages LEADER programme, the village of Monks Kirby is hosting its very own Arts Fest, bringing an assortment of musicians, performances and art activities for all ages and musical tastes, to its residents and visitors. The ‘Celebration of all the Arts’ event will take place in and around Monks Kirby church, between May 13th and 16th 2010.

Craft.com (Creating Real Art From The Community)

RoSA is a registered charity that supports victims of sexual violence, and their families, in Rugby and surrounding districts.  The Craft.com project would encourage people of any age or ability who support this type of work to explore and develop their creative skills, using a range of art and craft materials.
